Full of Details! Maximizing Aluminum Slot Lights for a Trendy Home Life

The homeowner of this project is a young man who recently completed military service and has very specific needs for his living space: easy maintenance and convenient cleaning. The designer focused on these requirements, creating a modern and stylish home with adjustable lighting atmospheres to match various moods. The aim was to provide the owner with a trendy yet convenient living environment.

Distinctive Design in the Space

The building is located next to Hanxi River in Taichung, and the view from the balcony’s floor-to-ceiling windows opens up to a wide riverbed. According to Feng Shui, such a house layout symbolizes excellent wealth. Hence, the designer reversed the positions of the sofa and TV wall, allowing the owner to sit in a position that attracts wealth, creating an enjoyable experience in the living room.

There is a large structural beam above the living room sofa, and considerable thought was put into the ceiling design. Curved shapes with indirect lighting were added, creating a light and airy feeling without a sense of pressure. All the indirect light sources were designed to illuminate the walls, avoiding hard-to-clean corners, making future cleaning more convenient for the owner.

The main bedroom also had a beam issue above the bed, which was resolved by creating a slanted ceiling and avoiding direct overhead lights above the bed. Instead, recessed lights and indirect lighting next to the curtains create a soft, relaxing bedroom atmosphere.

Lighting Configuration and Space Integration

The lighting plan for this space features the following key products:

Da Vinci Magnetic Track Lights

Installed in the black and grey-themed living and dining rooms, these lights have a simple yet stylish appearance. They are easy to move and adjust for different angles, creating diverse lighting combinations, which enhance the modern style of the space.

Vast Recessed Lights and T5 Integrated Bracket Lights

These two types of lighting are used throughout the home, including in the bedroom, study, and kitchen. A mix of natural and warm light enhances the space’s soft and comfortable feel. Additionally, the T5 integrated bracket light is designed for side illumination, preventing shadowing and dirt buildup, making it very easy to clean.

Hulk Recessed Lights

Used above the display cabinets at the entrance, these lights have a narrow-angle beam that highlights the showcased items, making them stand out.

Aluminum Slot Lights and Indoor Soft Strip Lights

In the dressing room, aluminum slot lights and soft strip lights were chosen, with the "covered" aluminum slot light providing even illumination for a higher-end feel. The dressing room continues the modern aesthetic, using black clear glass doors with U-shaped aluminum slot lighting to create an infinitely extending visual effect.

The designer mentioned that over ten years ago, many LED lights on the market had issues with high levels of blue light, which caused fatigue and discomfort after extended use. DANCELiGHT LED lights specifically emphasize their "no blue light hazard," ensuring not only great lighting effects but also preventing discomfort. In the past, many Taiwanese people traveled to Japan to buy cheap LED lights, but now Taiwan has "DANCELiGHT" offering high-quality, eco-friendly lighting that enhances the overall lighting experience in homes.
